About Us

About Us

Theater and Dance Academy of Wellington was established under a new name and ownership in Nov 2025 after 22 years as Dance Arts Conservatory under the Duvall Family. With the Duvalls moving out of state and establishing a program in CA, ownership was transferred to the Master Family who had been a part of the studio for the past 10 years.  The Masters have been involved in the South Florida Performing Arts community for over 20 years and hope to continue to provide a collaborative, non-competitive creative outlet for young artists in an inclusive and supportive environment where they can continue to grow and hone their craft.

Devi Master (Owner/Director)

Ms Devi has  over 30 years of experience working with children of all ages from infants to high school as an educator, mentor, social worker, cheerleading coach and director of youth programs.  Devi has a Bachelor Degree from the University at Stony Brook and a Master’s in Education from C.W. Post. She served as the director for Broadway Stars Musical Theater program, WAVE (Wellington Artists Vocal Ensemble)  and CAST (Collaborative Artists Singing Troupe).  Her experience in Performing Arts started in high school and continued through college as a thespian and member of Dance Team. Her passion for theater and dance was rekindled once her own children started showing interest in performing arts. Devi and her husband Jake have 4 amazing and talented children and as a family they have been featured  on several As Seen on TV Commercials and on  “David Makes Man’ on the OWN Network.  Performing Arts is a passion for their entire family, even their dogs have taken part of theater with Bitty the Cairn Terrier having played “Toto” in  The Wiz print ads for The Maltz Jupiter Theatre and Nox the Chihuahua playing  “Bruiser” in Legally Blonde for Broadway Stars at Dance Arts Conservatory.

As a teacher Devi used art, music and movement throughout the day and found it a highly effective tool for teaching concepts. Devi finds she is happiest working behind the scenes as a Stage Manager, Makeup Artist and Costume Designer or in front of the stage as the Director because her true passion is teaching. Giving encouragement and support to budding thespians and dancers and helping them look and feel their best on stage helps elevate their performance. She enjoys watching the growth of her students and her ultimate goal is for them to feel a sense of pride for their work, progress and accomplishments which will give them an overall boost in confidence. She believes that there are many valuable skills that students will gain through Performing Arts that will serve them well beyond the stage.

Jacob Master (Owner/Business Manager)

Jacob is an accountant, business owner and entrepreneur who continually seeks out opportunities to grow with his family.  His wife and 4 kids who are all involved in Performing Arts inspired him to learn the technical side of theater. He served as a Sound Designer/ Sound Board Operator, Scenic Designer/Carpenter and Photographer.  He was also featured in a few national TV commercials alongside his family as well as on Season 1 of David Makes Man on the OWN Network.  The idea of owning a business in an industry his family is passionate about was the driving force to create Theater and Dance Academy of Wellington. Seeing how his children all benefited from their involvement in performing arts and being able to provide that same opportunity for future  generations while working alongside his family is a dream come true. Their family motto has always been “Everything Together” and he hopes to encourage other families to get involved and benefit the same way his family has in a non-competitive and collaborative environment that TADA strives to provide.
